I use permanent adhesive mailing labels and they work great.

If you are after a white background the best I've found is the Papilio "waterproof white vinyl decal media." I've used paper, but it is very hard to get good quality compared with the papilio. I've done tons of decals, using text, photos, original logos, holographic media, clear media, all in peel and stick. I'd be glad to answer specific questions, just e-mail me. For some work I would not argue with Don on mailing labels, but for most, get the papilio vinyl.

I use the same papillo waterproof vinyl and yes they make an ink jet version. Be using it ever since it debuted at the expo 4 or 5 years ago.

I have access to mailing labels. How are you using them? Do you write on them and then place them on the rod like a decal? Do you have any photos of the finished process? This is great, I can make my own if this is how they are used.

Take a look at my photos on the photo page, all my labels are made with address labels. Unhide your email or drop me an email and I will share my process. If you are proficient with word it is very simple.

Thanks Mike, I realized after posting that question that the Papillo is what you have told me about.

Here is a rod that uses two different Papilio media with a Canon ink jet printer.
