Hello all,
I've had an inquiry about repairing a couple of old Heddon rods that appear to be fiberglass. One of them has the old 'simulated bamboo' finish and the other is fiberglass (I think). They need the snake guides reattached on one, and a full set of guides on the other (all are missing except the tip-top). I work primarily on the old steel rods and I'm not set up with thread colors, etc. to take this on, and I'm not familiar enough with rod coatings to consider doing these. Would it be breaking the rules to ask if there's someone out there that would be interested in doing this kind of repair so I can refer him to you? Thanks, Brent Re: Vintage Heddon guide repair needed

Shipping is often a deal breaker on repair jobs. Where are you located? Re: Vintage Heddon guide repair needed

I'm more familiar with Heddon cane rods having restored about 50 of them. I'm not sure if the threads are the same colors but if they are I'm probably set for it. Re: Vintage Heddon guide repair needed

Hi Gary, Here's the contact information of the gentleman who needs the rods repaired. His name is Dr. Richard K. Wilson. One of the rods belonged to his father inlaw. Maybe you can talk to him about it. Thanks, Blessings, Brent
