Double foot guide orientation?

If this is printed somewhere I have overlooked it. All the mounted double foot guides I see have the single leg of the guide towards the front or tip of the rod and the twin leg side of the guide towards the rear or reel side of the rod. Why is that? Re: Double foot guide orientation?

Aesthetics. The line doesn't care about the legs, nor does it know which way the legs point.
There are some newer guides, however, that are designed to shed line tangles partly by virtue of the frame design and ring slant. Because of the ring slant, they are not uni-directional. ............... Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
