Hi Gordon,
It's a faceted "thread" like prismatic tape that shines out really well, goes well with metallics and changes colour depending on the light angle. A number of brands but I use Glissen Gloss Prizm Hologram Thread. Comes from the States so should be available from a sponsor on the left. It's different than normal thread as it's flat, about four times wider than "a" thread but half the thickness. Depending on what size thread your using you may need to double up on the wraps to keep everything flat but I don't get any problems in the finish over it. Comes in six colours- gold, silver, blue, green, red and pink. It can be a pain to use as it twists and you need to be careful you don't get a twist in the wrap. Seems to flatten out well when binding despite a twist or two coming off the spool. I only use it for trim and highlights. You can't use it for guide binding as it's not very strong and the holographic effect disappears if you put too much tension on it.
Definitely adds some bling to the wraps.

Hi Mark,
No problem, it's very decorative and makes plain bindings stand out. I've also used it in a couple of butt wraps and it looks really good, goes really well with metallics. I'll bring a rod along so you can have a look. Ross has got at The Rodworks and he sells single spools or the complete "six pack", so you can have a look on the website.
