I was thinking about using metallic twist on one of my next builds, I know you do not have to use color preserve on metallic and I usually use colorfast for main wraps, does the metallic twist require the use of CP since it is partially just plain nylon? Re: Metallic twist pro wrap

I do with mine, since it does got nylon, the mettalic part doesn't, wether it does or not I put cp on anyways, cause it helps with the bubbles, and it keeps it together until I am ready to put a coat of epoxy on it. Thats just what I would do. tight wraps! Re: Metallic twist pro wrap

Do a test section on a scrap blank and apply CP on half. Apply the epoxy and see which one you like the most. I did this test and decided to go with the CP. As Bill stated, is is a briter color. Re: Metallic twist pro wrap

The best suggestion that I have heard, has been by Andres. You will never beat test wraps to make the decision. Wrap thread in the area where the handle will be installed. That way when you remove the test wraps of thread, it won't matter since you will be covering with the handle. You will then be able to see how the thread color appears on the actual blank color.
