Is ThreadMaster ONE solvent resistant after fully dried? I had used before water based urethane products, where they start to become tacky after just cleaning the rod with paper towel and alcohol. Re: ThreadMaster ONE

That's really good to know. Thank you Kevin. Also, since this product is so new on the market, i have another question. Would this product work well mixing with mineral powder for marbling type applications? I'm assuming that ThreadMaster ONE would not work with epoxy type liquid pigments, since is water based. although i'm debating if this will work with mineral powder pigments. Any thoughts about this? Please try it and let us know, I am not a marbeling person so I never tried it.

Boghy,
My thought is as I have said 100000 times. Its custom rod building. If we as individuals never leave the box that we are in, we are in prison. Try it. @#$%&, even if its on a broomstick, but try it. I see no reason why it wouldn't be just fine. Kevin Knox ANGLER'S ENVY CUSTOM RODS QUEEN ANNE, MD 21657 #_#_#_#_# www.anglersenvy.com Re: ThreadMaster ONE

Well, i end up using the product, and unfortunately is not what i want. ThreadMaster ONE becomes tacky when wiped with paper towel and alcohol just like many of the water-based polyurethane out there after fully cured and if mixed with 50/50 distilled water on a 5-6 layers re-coating , becomes white-cloudy. Although, i do like how flexible is, and when used with single food guides, seems to have a better contact with the foot of the guide without allowing any water intrusion underneath the guide foot after an saltwater fishing session. However, i couldn't manage to get smooth clear results like epoxy with long pot life has, even after 50/50 mixture with distilled water. I'm not so sure if there is another trade secret here, but mixing with distilled water, the mixture become white-cloudy. So, either i did something wrong and i end-up bashing one rod, or ThreadMaster ONE is what it shows to be. Either way, the end result was totally unsatisfactory with wavy finish , and didn't solved my personal problem with water based type coatings where would be solvent resistant, like simply cleaning the rod with paper towel and alcohol even after 3 days of curing - within seconds becomes tacky in contact with 97% Isopropyl alcohol.
