Hey guys and gals
I am building a donation rod for ducks unlimited and cannot get going on it. its a orange blank with silver singlefoot spinning guides. Shoot me some ideas on color schemes... Re: builders block

check out there web site The duck on top has some nice colors on it A feather inlay similar to it If it looks OK on that color blank

Andy, Olive Drab and Brown Duck thread wraps. I like the idea Barry suggested of the shot shell butt cap.For a grip material, just as you would use cork tape, try some old weather beaten canvas or burlap. Cut it in long 1" wide strips and lay it down over contact cement on an over cut cork handle. Too bad it was'nt a camo blank. An old duck call would make a nice fore grip too.Another idea for a handle would be to use the hand grip of an old ore in its weathered condition. Sounds like a good build, have fun with it.
