Follow signs to bryan blvd from airport to hgy 68 south, then take I-40 west to Winston Salem then take the cherry st exit. Takes to the hotels unless they have changed the streets around since i was there last year.

If you have a smartphone, just download a GPS application and plug in the hotel address ... easy enough. I use an application called GPS Motion on my iPhone and it works great.

Roger's directions are correct, with one addition. When you get on I-40 westbound from NC 68 you need to follow I-40 Business Loop, rather than I-40, to reach downtown W-S and the Cherry Street exit. The I-40 Business Loop exit is the second one after you get on I-40, and it exits from the left lane. The Cherry Street exit will take you directly to the hotels and convention center, which are about 5 blocks north of I-40 Business.

Here's the map:
[mapq.st]

GPS users:
Greensboro Airport - 6415 Bryan Blvd, Greensboro, NC
Benton Convention Center - 301 West 5th Street, Winston-Salem, NC

I've lived in W-S for the past 3 years and live downtown. The drive from the airport is super easy.

Piedmont International. Greensboro. 25-30 minutes from Winston Salem depending of traffic on a Friday.

Roger,
Greensboro, NC

Airport code = GSO and drive 15 minutes

OR

Airport code = CLT or RDU and drive 1.5 hours

Greensboro is a smaller airport that will most assuredly require a connection. That latter two are Charlotte and Raleigh-Durham which have a lot of direct flights and generally lower prices due to more competition.
