Bugged epoxy!

Arggggggg!! I just came in to check my epoxy after about 4hrs, it almost hardened, then i saw it! Looked as big as a bird! a big gnat in the epoxy! tried to take it out, but what a mistake! the epoxy was still kind of soft and then the bigger mistake is when i tried to wipe it with a paper towel with alcohol on it, it just like stuck to the epoxy, now I'm waiting for it to get hard enough to sand and then apply another coat of epoxy, I don't know how the bug got into the room, going to have to make sure the door is closed at all times. BUMMER!!

Hi Lorenzo,
Another PITA that's happened to a few of us. Best to spray around your workshop before you start. After everyhing has settled go about your business. Keep the door shut and the light off except for checks. I've never found any problem with the spray but you can cover the rod if your worried.
If you still get one best to let everything set then cut it off with a new blade and put on another finish coat.
Your not the first and won't be the last to have that happen.

Tweezers to get them out if epoxy is still soft. Gentle heat will settle the disturbed spot. Cut it out if it's hardened, with a razor blade, then apply another light coat.

Once upon a time, when I did not know that bugs love to fly in to epoxy...

I left a wooden kayak out on the porch to cure overnight after we coated the entire hull with epoxy. The next morning, required a lot of picking and no grinning.
