Look at Fuji Hardloy and see if the photos match what you have. That is what they were using on GL2 series rods.

I have a factory Loomis 1266 Surf Spinning rod about 12 years old which has Fuji SIC Gunsmoke guides.
I would assume the casting version was equipped with Fuji SIC's as well.

Customer said the rings are black So I am thinking maybe Aconite ??

Or are they even Fuji ??

I can try to call them Think the rod is only a couple of years old ??

Bill,

The guides on my Loomis 1266S are4 indeed black.
I called them Gunsmoke by mistake because the guides were dusty.
Upon closer comparison I'm sure they are Alconites.
Sorry for the error.

That sounds about right to what the customer said

Thanks David

Called them up and was told the guides are Aluminum Oxide guides That is probably why the ring is black
