Hi folks,
Got a Fenwick Lunkerstik 2000 casting rod in for repair, and need to rewrap one guide. The blank is the brown fiberglass with the eagle logo and the thread appears to be a light olive NCP size D. Has anyone done repairs to these rods back in the day (it looks like it dates from the early 80's) who could help me identify the correct thread match? Thanks for the help! Re: Fenwick thread color

Peter I have a number of the old fenwick ferlights in my shop from years ago. Mine are mostly fly but they should be much differen't. What exactly do you want to know? If its exactly what color and kind of thread they used I can't help you there. Interesting though its the first blank i ever built on in 1981. Sent away for a kit and built a fly rod for myself. Man I feel old telling that story. The thread on the ones i have are a flat brown. They have a small amount of white trim and inlays. The blanks are brown too. Re: Fenwick thread color

Pete, I had one of those Lunker Stix with a pistol grip and the wraps were brown with white trim. Dennis J. Danku (Sayreville,NJ) Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 05/24/2012 09:50PM by Dennis Danku. Re: Fenwick thread color

My glass Fenwicks over the years seemed to be either 541 med brown or 5374 chestnut NCP. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
