fenwick rod Id. ?

I believe the rod is a fenwick. The model # is 980, what are the spec.( length and Line rating).

throw out some more info. color, spinning, casting. fly? what type of guides: ceramic, alum. oxide, carbide. foulproof, snake, roller.etc; handle: cork rubber, foam,etc. 980 could mean several different things. label info? buttcap: does it have any thing on the bottom?

I don't have any of my Fenwick catalogs in front of me but that might have been Fenwick's flipping stick. The number sticks but I'm not certain.

Rod was built in 1974, conventional, 6'7", brown glass,30/60??, the person who built the rod said it was a 980
but at the butt of the blank in large lettering 890.
