Guide Spacing

Hi
I have just taken delivery of a 10 ft #7 blank and am thinking of using PacBay Model F Minima3 single leg guides,the stripper guides i have decided on a #16 and #12 but am totally lost in what sizes i should be using for the rest of the guides i was thinking the smallest i would need should be #6 size!,any help on this would be appreciated. thanks in advance. If you know that #6's will easily pass your line and any required connections (and they should) then just order about 9 of the #6's and be done. You do not need any more different sizes on a rod.

The smallest and lightest are always the best
But Will the line and knots fit if you ty on a leader -- after the line id going though the guides and after you are done fishing -- cut them off Then you can go smaller then 6 It is all of - if the line and knots have to go though the guides Bill - willierods.com Re: Guide Spacing

I use a nail knot for line to leader connections and I use size 5 minimas as runners on a rod throwing a WF8F line. No hang ups for me, but I tie my nail knots with only 4 turns, tight and low profile with zap-a-gap superglue for added insurance. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
