Check out this method of gluing EVA grips. Best thing I have discovered in rod building in 20 yrs, hands down. A real time saver for this tedious task. [www.bdoutdoors.com]

Been doing the same thing with epoxy instead of rubber cement for a while.

Billy,
I still coat the blank where the grip is going to land with epoxy. I just find that the grip glides with the rubber cement better than epoxy and the clean up is a snap.

THe EVA sliding better has nthing to do with the rubber cement, it slides no problemo with just epoxy if the grip chamfered. I won't argue the clean up i sa mess with epoxy, but whn I'm doing gripsI do the entire handle so it's not that bad once the seat and foregrip is glued up.

I guess I have been lucky so far. No issues with coating the blank with epoxy and then squeezing the top and pushing the grip down.

I'm with Tom, guess I've been lucky too, but I do start the epoxy up where the grip is loose.
