I don't think this was discussed here or not but it seems that Gary Loomis and NFC are starting a rod building company called Edge Rods. Seeme the competition is getting stiff!! Intresting stuff to say the least, though it appears no models are available yet I would imagine they are made on any NFC blank!! Re: New rod company

I believe it was brought up here earlier. They have at least a few models available already.

They do have a few models and have concentrated mostly on their high-end offerings. They launched these at the Sportsmans show in Portland in February.
Not sure what their distribution model will be yet but I know they were taking orders at the show. I expect they will need some time to ramp up and execute their plan. All are built on the same NFC blanks available to custom builders. Terry Re: New rod company

In recent months, at least, there have been ads in papers looking for folks to wind guides in or around Woodland. No company name mentioned. Of course, Loomis Rods, Lamiglas rods, and North Fork Composites are all in Woodland WA (Greater Woodland has a population of 10,000.) Re: New rod company

Appreciate the interest. We are launching into rods under the Edge label. We have been interviewing out wrappers, finishers and handle builders.
Look for some releases next week. Jon Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
