Two of the hotels, The Embassy Suites and the Marriot, will both offer a special rate for Expo attendees. The rate will be a little bit higher than the Best Western, but both are light years ahead in terms of the quality of the rooms and the number of restaurants and lounges located inside both of them. Night and day difference.

How does this move affect the long term nature of the Expo? It seems that each year you're apprehensive about the following year. I will be a newly minted retiree in 2014 and had plans for the Expo to be a retirement gift to myself.

Well at least we have two to choose from!! Maybe the NERBS will have to rent a suite for the after hours gathering.

WOW!!! These are world class accommodations. Embassy Suites and Marriott have meals, drinks, services, etc. that are all top shelf. Everyone will have to be on their best behavior at such posh locations.

Yes, but I'd wait a few weeks until they get the special rates in place. Between the two there are probably 600+hotel rooms so you're safe.
