New item from Swampland Tackle. Blank testing board designed to test two blanks at a time. Great for comparing a custom or factory rod with different blanks to match the action and power. This system doesn't use numbers, cents or anything other than two equal weights hung from the tip of the rod to compare the natural bend while both blanks are side to side.

But you CAN "use numbers, cents or anything" to test blanks with the CCS or RDA knockoff methods. I built my own after seeing Bobby's picture a while ago. What mine lacks is the little levers on the cams to help level the blanks so I will want one of these. They make a great fixture for comparing two blanks, two built rods, or a blank and a rod. A great thing to have when a customer brings in his favorite two rods and wants "one right in between these two in power". I am not affiliated with Swampland, but when you get one of these you will wonder how you lived without it.

Lance - I built mine so the cams are on top left and bottom right. I like the blank tip to the right. I see some black plugs... are those for the purpose of moving the cams? _________________________________________ "Angling is extremely time consuming. Hello Lance
Is there that much difference between this version and the orginal version, and if so what makes the difference? (education required). Thanks. Bob, New Bern, NC. Re: Blank Testing Board

Chuck the plugs are so you can turn it around - does not work the way most think - Bobby and Lynn solved the issue and this one can be rigged so the tip goes in either direction.
Differences - Same concepts - Improved functionality and ease of use. The levers on the cams make adjustment a lot simpler - do not have to worry about additional tools for adustment. The spacers are further apart so you can put most normal sized bass rod grips in the slots without trouble. This one is just easire to use and make the final adjustment a lot simpler. Material upgrade for longer life - Onward and upward Seeing is Beleiving. Re: Blank Testing Board

How could there be anything more important than rod CCS data ??
Just kidding Blank taper distribution is the component that makes one rod perform well as compared to another blank with the same static no's. Good Idea !!! Eugene Moore Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
