I am looking for a 7 pc. 8 1/2' 5wt blank, but am having trouble finding much. This rod will be rarely used, with the ability to pack it into a very small space being its primary quality. A lower priced blank is highly preferred, and I'm willing to adjust to whatever rod actions are available. Any suggestions??
THANKS!!! Re: 7 pc. Fly Blank wanted

anglers roost has a 7pc 8ft listed as 4wt...it may cast a 5wt well...for the price it would be worth a try Re: 7 pc. Fly Blank wanted

Cabela's has 6-pc 8'6" 5wt Stowaway blank that you might want to consider. I have an older 5-pc Stowaway rod that I've been pleased with. One thing to think about with a 7-pc rod is that you can't break it down into even numbered sections, like you can do with a 6-pc rod. Re: 7 pc. Fly Blank wanted

Thanks for the suggestions. I already have a Cabela's 5 piece Stowaway and am happy with it. . . . but really need shorter sections for my purpose. I had not seen the Angler's Roost 7pc. At that price I think I will give it a try!!
Thanks Again Re: 7 pc. Fly Blank wanted

I built 9' 5wt 7piece form Hook&Hackle a few years ago, I think it was a PacBay Rainforest, Good rod. Ask for Ron and mention my name.
