Jess, I can make them. Shoot me an email and we'll talk. I have red metallic foil. You'd need to apply them. I can walk you through it. -Chuck

Right. That's another option. Not sure about you, but I am seeing some fading on my metallic media decals. Mostly on the holo sheen and the gold. The ones I did with my older Lexmark all faded. I haven't had my new Canon printed ones out yet this year.
These dry transfer ones can't fade. _________________________________________ "Angling is extremely time consuming. That's sort of the whole point." - Thomas McGuane Re: Metallic Red Decal Help

Chuck I fully understand on the fading with inkjet - have managed to do a workaround to continue use of inkjet - laser media is also available for those who are unable to do dry transfer stuff.
Your new Canon will not be a lot different unless you consider color selection and reverse imaging to do things a little different. I am sure you will understand - Fading of inkjet inks due to uV degredation, all of them, is affected by the color - lighter colors more fading than dark - red/yellow uV degredation is worse than black/blue. If you use the holo/silver/gold/red media surface to present the font or image foreground color by reverse imaging, i.e., no ink on the surface of the media - using a darker background color - the over time fading of the primary font or image can be greatly improved. Bill - I know. I've got the solution though. Only fish at night!
I'm going to get some laser media next. Do you carry it? Chuck _________________________________________ "Angling is extremely time consuming. That's sort of the whole point." - Thomas McGuane Re: Metallic Red Decal Help

Chuck,
I tried the laser media (by accident) and unless their is a workaround, it comes out of the printer a real mess. I have 2 packs of laser holo (ordered by mistake) and would love to know a way to make it work BTW fading hasn't been a problem for me (so far!!). I use a lot of the silver and Holo media as well as white vinyl. I always use a couple coats of Krylon Fix a Tiff although I have NO idea if that helps with fading Mike (Southgate, MI) If I don't want to, I don't have to and nobody can make me (except my wife) cuz I'm RETIRED!!
