This is for Gudebrod - NOT ProWrap - unless the core is considerably different Pro Wrap will be in the same ball park. The tensil strength may not tell the whole story - metallic is higher than nylon in Guidebrod and may also be in the Prowrap. If it stretches under finish it wil not go back. But Stretch when it relaxes is considerably longer before break occurs. It relaxes when the core is wet with finish. Unless you're planning to fish with it ... it doesn't matter. Nylon thread (A - EE) is plenty strong enough to hold guides in place. It's more a matter of what look you are trying to achieve. A is "smoother" looking than D but D on off-shore rods (large diameter blanks) will look just fine. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
