Picked up one of the Tommy Farmer blanks recently, the 11ft 2-5oz, really like the wy it feels, super light, cant wait to build it. I met Tommy Farmer and got to see the rest if his rods at the show in richmond. I see mudhole carries the blanks, i was wondering if any body else has had any experience with them?

Last year I built a surf spinning rod on a 12' Tommy Farmer Blank for throwing bait and a few ounces of lead.
Matched to a Van Staal VS200 it's an extremely light combo with plenty of guts.

I built the same blank last year with Fuji K series alconites and paired it with a Diawa Emblem Pro 5000. The first time I cast it with 3oz on a bottom rig, I laughed out loud it went so far. If I could afford it, I would only build Carolina Cast Pro surf rods.

I built an 11' 2-5oz spinning for throwing bait; old school Asian surf rod, cone of flight 4 alconite SV series guides and a tip, tuna cord wrap handle deck hand look.. Mated up with a Penn 7000 Sargus and 20ld braid. Great surf rod for 3oz and bait-it will lanch a 4oz lead sinker like it was shot out of a cannon. It is very parabolic and makes a wonderfull weight and bait rod. Yourrr gonna like it....

thanks all for the replies. i like the way the blank feels a lot. does anyone have any experience with his 13ft 6-10oz? i may get that next to add to my collection of heavers for the beach. Mr. Farmer did mention at the show that there is a bigger 13footer in the works, i am curious to see how that one feels....
