The 1st MRB Roundup was a whopping success. I have posted some pix[www.rodbuilding.org] We had 25 builders who bought a lot of great rods for "Show & Tell", Visual Wrap presentation by Rich Kendall,, Bamboo repair/restoration by Gary Marquardt and all you wanted to know about creating unique/creative decals on an ink jet printer by Mike Barkley & Mick Danek, along with a LOT of tips, tricks and knowledge being exchanged!! Not to mention a TON of great food!

Thanks to GREAT support from the industry, we had some great door prizes to hand out!
Also want to congratulate Don Morse, who's wife went into labor that morning with Landon Donald Morse! The guy that put all the time/energy into putting this together wasn't able to make it so we'll just have to have another one!! Any of you guys that have never attended a local gathering, make it HAPPEN. They are great. I attend them in Chicago and Canton, OHio and they are great!

Thanks to Billy Vivona and the NERB's for gettingt this whole local gathering concept started!!

Mike (Southgate, MI)
If I don't want to, I don't have to and nobody can make me (except my wife) cuz I'm RETIRED!!

Thanks Don for all the hard work. I was hoping I could tell you that in person. Congratulations on the newest addition to the family. Thanks also to Mike Barkley for taking the reins in Don's absence. You did a great job Mike! Can't wait to do it again.

A HUGE THANK YOU TO Mike Barkley for taking over in my absence. I have been getting tons of emails and phone calls from everyone telling me what a great time was had by all. I think we have a new tradition in the Great Lakes State.
