Tomorrow is the big day.... Michigan Rod Builders Round Up. I just wanted to give everyone one last note to let you know what to expect. Please have my phone number with you just in case you have a hard time finding the church (810)834-4302. The event is being held at the North Branch Wesleyan Church at 3164 North Branch Road, North Branch Michigan 48461. This is a FREE event. We plan on everyone showing up around 11 am and ending when we all get sick of each other. We are having potluck style food and you are welcome to bring something but it is not required. Right now on the menu is; chili, cookies, brownies, steel-head dip and crackers, pulled pork, lazy man cabbage rolls, meatballs, spiral ham, pasta salad, green salad, cake, lunch-meat tray, chips. Coffee, water, lemonade, and some pop to drink. Plan on feeding 30-40 folks. We will be having several informal "seminars" including center pin rods, custom decals, custom cork, visual wrap software and bamboo rods (what to look for and what can be fixed). Many of us will have our wrappers and and other tools so there will be plenty of learning and teaching opportunities for everyone. We have received MANY items from 15 different companies to give away and we are having a raffle for a chance to win one of two complete rod kits. Everyone will leave with something. The main purpose of the event is to meet other rod builders and talk about what we all love to do, heaven knows we don't do this for profit. SEE YOU ALL TOMORROW.
