cork jig

I was wondering if anyone makes a cork jig for cutting a half inch cork into two quarter inch slices.

If you really mean actual .25" thick slices it can't be done--the saw kerf takes too much. S mallest kerfs are likely from Japanese Dozuki saws and a forstner bit hole drilled near the edge just shy of 1/4" deep will mak a pretty good jig.

I made my own. I used two metal slats and washers screwed into a shelf board. I drilled different depth holes in the wood so that the cork sits down in the hole. One hole is 1/4" and I just put the cork in there, slide my saw in between the metal slats and cut the cork. Make sure to use a super fine tooth saw though. There are some pics on the photo pages here if you do a search. Here is a link to one that is very similar to the one I made.
