Hi guys. I looking to build a couple of bottom bouncer rods. Nothing longer than 6'6". I find 7' blanks are hard on the wrist fising all day during our fly-in Canada trip. Would like a blank rated to 1 oz. Would also like a Medium action (I think). I find most heavy blanks don't have enough flex to fight big walleyes to my liking.
Any suggestions? What do you like? Thanks...Kevin Re: Bottom Bouncer Blank

Look at the MHX MB782 - 6'6", med power, fast action, 8-14 line, 3/16 - 5/8 lure OR
CB783 - 6'6", med power, mod fast action, same line and lure rating I find lure weight does not directly correlate to the bottom bouncer weight a rod will work effectively. Finding a moderate action, 1 ounce lure rated, 6'6" blank may prove a challenge. Good luck Re: Bottom Bouncer Blank

Kevin,
If you do have a 7-8 foot blank that you like you could always chop the butt of the blank, or make the rod with an extra long handle to take care of the leverage issue. Good luck Roger Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
