Tape Removal on Blanks

I have several older rod blanks in fiberglass and graphite that had tape affixed to them to help keep the sections together. Removing the older tape has left residue in some spots from the adhesive. Do you have a suggestion on what to use to remove the old tape that will be safe for both glass and graphite? Your suggestions are most appreciated. Re: Tape Removal on Blanks

The very simple thing to use is Mineral Spirits or paint thinner.
Then, after you have used the mineral spirits, you will want to go over the blank with DNA to remove any residue of the mineral spirits. Apply the mineral spirits, let it soak in for a bit and then wipe off the tape. Good luck Roger Re: Tape Removal on Blanks
