Tuna blank ID help .....

I bought a lot of rod building materials and this was part of it. It is a 5'6" rod i belive to be a calstar graphiter It has the eva grips reel seat and gimbal already on the blank so I'm unsure of the specs of the rod. It does have a spiral wrap up the rod that fades from grey to a gloss black. I'm unsure what reel seat is on it or anything about this rod. I would like to sell it to buy a blank I can use. So any info about it or it's worth would be a great help to me. Thank you

Reel seat doesn’t have a logo printed or carved in it so it can 't be an aftco or alps real seat, i would say it’s an American tackle or some other brand. Most of the aluminium real seats cost around the same price $20 - 30.

Without looking at the blank i don’t know if it is a Calstar or not but it sounds like one. If it is a calstar and they didn’t shorten it in construction it would be a GF7455 or GF755 series blank, these rate at 40-80lb, 50-100lb and 60lb to unlimited
These blanks range from about $110 - 130 or more depending on the supplier.

To check which blank it is run some line through a set of guides taped to the blank with different drags to determine which drag bends the blank nicely and build it to that spec, guide spacing should be pretty much the same for all blanks.

I would then buy some Aftco rollers build it up as a trolling outfit and sell it.
