as long as epoxy is over epoxy or uerathanes over urethanes or epoxy over urethanes youre ok in that sense. You cannot put urethanes over epoxt, the finish will blister. Also if you wait more than a few days, lightly scuff the surface of the cured epoxy before applying a new coat.

you can also mix the resins and hardners of multiple epoxies. Billy V has done some testing with equal parts prokote and threadmaster in a single batch (I think it was 2 mm prokote resin, 2 mm prokote hardner and the same for thread master 2mm / 2mm resin / hardner)

Why on earth would you mix Threadmaster with anything?

Internet answers on finishes related to some subject matter like this creates a feeling of -

Trepidation [?tr?p??de???n]

1. a state of fear or anxiety
2. a condition of quaking or palpitation, esp one caused by anxiety

New builders with limited experience can easily be led astray -

Example - two part epoxy over top of moisture curing urethane -

How long does it take for Perma Gloss to properly cure?

What is happening during the cure period?

Straw blowing technique for bubble removal will be totally useless!

I 'll sometimes Afcote first coat straight then 50/50 Afcote and Threadmaster then straight Threadmaster if third coat. Somtimes I'll just go 50/50 and top with threadmaster. The Afcote has a ureathane in it to keep it flexiable and I have far less cracking. Mixing it gives the threadmaster a bit of flex as well. But to each his own!!

I knew that John, but I was thinking more along the lines of why woud you put a clear epoxy over top of one that yellows in 30 days.

I guess that is done so that the yellowing shows up better. LOL
