i am an semi new rod builder and have used some regular mhx blanks and they aren't sensitive enough. So are the hi mods any better or should i stick to the regular ones.
if there are any other blanks that are under $110 and are better than the hi mods pleas tell me.
thanks

I have built like 5 hi mod, MHX rod blanks and have built the regular MHX's also, and have fished them, as more sensitive then the regular , I think they are since they are more lighter and with that I feel that they are more sensitive, But I guess you will have to find that out for yourself, what I think is more sensitive might not be for you, Tight lines!

For me, considering they comme with a free rod bag, the cost is good (as the standard version).
They are lighter.
The finish is a little on the down side vs standard (the sanding could have been done with more précision on my blank).

Yes, they are much more sensitive than the original series.
I've built quite a few of them and have been very impressed, as have my customers.

I built a split grip flippin' and pitchin' stick using the MHX HM-MB874-MHX blank and Fuji Titanium "K" Concept SiC Guides. With fluorocarbon line the sensitivity is NICE!!!!
It isn't a GLoomis GLX but is feels pretty slick.

Its the best buy out there for your money. I love the finish, its just what i want on a blank. You usually get what you pay for..on the HM's perhaps more!
