Rainsahdow SU1385, ive seen people using it off the beaches in florida. I think its like 2-6, but i heard its #1 for the pomapnos. yyou need to cast far enough out to get over the bar, so that sounds like the right blank 6 hours ago · Like · 1 Jason LaMagna Check out the CTS 12 footers! They are badass!!!!!!!! 6 hours ago · Like · 1 Gabe Nakash The CTS blanks are nice, but the Rainshadow is MUCH cheaper. lol 6 hours ago · Like Chuck Payne Need more info...what size sinkers are they throwing? 6 hours ago · Like Fernando Nieves CTS MODEL SE-1201/MED/X-FAST/2-4oz 6 hours ago · Like · 1 Chuck Payne I'll give you a couple options not listed that I like, both are Carolina cast pro rods, the 12' 3-7, and the 13' 3-6 are both excellent long range pomp rods. The actions are very different between the 2 though, bthe 12' is a parabolic rod, and the 13' is a fast action. I would highlt reccomend either and have a 13' one I would send to someone to try if wanted. 4 hours ago · Like Billy Vivona Thanks to all. Someone asked me today and I posted this for him, I'll forward the info to him since he has no FB (Joey) 2 hours ago · Like Todd Vivian Billy, The Lami SB1604m is a popular blank on the east coast for pomps. Also the 1363M extended 2 hours ago · Like THERE YOU GO JOEY, ALL THE INFO U NEED. Re: 12 foot surf rod florida fishing for pompano

Joey, The CTS blanks are definetly worth looking into. I believe they will nbe perfect for pompano
I no those guys dont use to much weight and fish sand fleas for bait. I just built an 11 1/2 footer rated 1-3 and i could blast 5oz with it no problem. I gave it away a week ago otherwise I would let you cast it. take a look at them you wont be disapointed. Mike Re: 12 foot surf rod florida fishing for pompano

You don't need a heavy rod for Pompano. C2 Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
