First i just want to say i hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and a safe and Happy New Year. My question is simple. I want to make my own custom spinning reel seat and was wondering if anyone knows of and web sites of suppliers for all the necessary parts as in skeleton seats and wood or any other type of inserts. Thanks much in advance, Jack

Wae have the Skeleton seats by Fuji and Batson and also square acrylic blocks to make inserts or grips. Link to the acrylic is below. The skeleton seats aren't listed. Just call or email for more info.

You've had a couple of good ideas, and other sponsors on the left also carry other components. There are many to choose from, and you can mix and match pretty much to your hearts desire

And, if you want true custom you can get a metal and/or wood lathe and turn the components from bars or tubes of aluminum or nickle silver or what ever.

If you have a lathe I strongly recommend Reelseatblanks.com, a sponsor on the left, they have a superior quality selection of reel seat blanks in stabilized woods. many of which are dyed and really bring out the character of the wood. I turn my inserts and one of the things I really like is that you are looking at the piece you will be buying not just a representation of that product. I have been very happy with what I have purchased.

You can also get full spin and cast seats and cut them and make any shape you want
