I'm trying to build a finish epoxy mixer using a 4.8 rpm motor and a stainless steel condoments cup. The shaft of the motor is a little bigger than a 1/4 of an inch, so, I know a 1/4" tubing union will not work. What do most of you use as a connection between the two? I've heard of some using a teflon bushing but where would you get those at? Thanks, Steve Re: Motor connection

Steve Perhaps more difficult than you want to go but get a one inch piece od of aluminum bore it out to 5/16 or your shaft size and have them thread it so you can have a allen screw tighten to the shaft. works for me! Re: Motor connection

Go to the Specialty Fastener section at Lowe's. Look for Nylon spacers. They sell a 1/2 inch spacer, bored to .257 in. Enlarge the bore at one end to fit tight on the motor shaft, size it such that it is a really a snug fit and force it on. Tap the .257 bore at the other in for a 7mm 1/2 inch bolt....also available in the same area of Lowe's. Your done jim Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
