Hello All,
I'm considering building a couple rods using the HM blanks that Northfork Composites is selling. Can some of you that have built on these blanks shed some light as to how they've been working out for your customers? Has anyone done a comparison of the HM's to Legend Elite and other high end blanks? Re: Northfork HM blanks

The HM's I've done have all been well received.
In the measuring that I've done, I get data that equals or exceeds that of other high end blanks like the GLX or Legend Elite. ........................... Better to have and not need than to need and not have. Re: Northfork HM blanks

Built up one of the very first MB808-1 (HM) as a personal rod. I trimmed about 9.5" off the butt to get the feel I was looking for. Did a carbon skinned rear grip, no foregrip, titanium AmTacks and micros. Perfect rod for throwing the small mirrodines and bdonks at specks and reds. Paired perfectly with a Sustain 2500 loaded with 20lb. Samurai braid. Casts a mile, tremendous feel, great workability- fantastic blank. Look forward to building a bunch more. Really hoping to see some heavier weight fly rod blanks soon from NFC. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
