Flex lite guides

Any reviews on Jann's Flex-Lite guides yet as far as flexibility, grooving, corrosion and weight. How do they compare to recoil. I'm thinking of trying some on some rods I'm trying to keep the cost down on. By the way, most of my builds are lite salt water, braid and mono. Recoils are pretty big down here, but not everyone wants to pay for them. Those of you who have used them, how high of a frame are the single 6's. I absolutely love the recoil 4's and haven't used 6 running guides in quite a while.

I use them all the time on steelhead rods. I like them, they do not really "flex much" but I like that. In cold weather the recoils flex and stay flexed giving them memory. I have not had any grove issues but I use 10# mono running line with them most. Very light! They make a TiCH version that might hold up in salt if washed? For fresh water I like them and will continue to use them.

Brandon,
You could also go wth the pac bay minima tich guides. Similar and are a very reliable inexpensive guide.

Take care
Roger

Thanks Roger, I have used those on some fresh water rods. I guess the flex lites have the eye appeal of recoils and if they do indeed spring back to shape much like the recoils i think they could be a nice choice for keeping price down. Now if they don't have the flexible characteristics then I would just as soon stick with Alps.

I just finished a rod using the Flex-Lites...
1) the hard chrome is HARD! I had a VERY hard time filing the feet to shape/fine tuning. My confidence is high that the guide will function fine with ceramic ring
2) the feet quite long for the guide size
3) they are exceptionally light! I did not weigh them, but the thread wrap (long feet) must weigh more! Did I mention they are VERY light!
4) they look fabulous, even though they are bright, shiny, chrome. But it is a very nice, even, smooth bright shiny chrome.

In short, I'll be using these again...

And again...
