Has anyone tried using this for CP ? It is milky colored and dries clear. J.B.Hunt Bowling Green, KY Re: Tile Grout Sealer

I would check it for silicone. All the grout sealer iused had a lot of silicone in it. Re: Tile Grout Sealer

Jay, i tried the grout sealant.
When dry it makes epoxy bead up so i had to re wrap. Best 100% clear 'alternative' CP so far for me is DEFT water based urethane. Not the spray can stuff, the one you buy in cans. Epoxy goes on it great plus being so thin it gets air out of wraps and feather work. Two thin coats over cord wraps before a heat shrink covering also makes for a good grip. On some personal rods i am trying it out for durability as the primary finish . Sort of like PG/Lumiseal in hardness just vastly much easier to work with. Get it on hands and it washes off with water. Does not go tacky when exposed to Alcohol after drying. So if you use surgical wipes in parts of your process like i do, no problem. Good info. I was wondering if it would work. I will have to check out the DEFT. J.B.Hunt Bowling Green, KY Re: Tile Grout Sealer

I have a hard time imagining that products designed for some other use will outperform the many products specifically designed for a specific job. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
