What a great idea in the latest edition of Rod Maker Magazine.

Roy Miller had an article on prism wraps of the guides. It looked very nice,

It was well written easily explained, with great pictures too.

I hope Roy will forgive me for retaking all the photos. He did such a nice job on the article itself I wanted to display it in the best manner possible. Sometimes this requires retaking the author's photos so that they'll be in optimum form for publication.

The timing of that article was good. We just had that discussion on the forum about thread is what anchors the guide and not the epoxy. How many has Roy built this way and will it hold up with basically half the wraps?

I helped Roy with the article and I can tell you that he has built several this way and they hold up quite well. He also does some work with the same material in lettering that looks amazing. One rod has a name on it but you can't really see it until you look at it closely, tricks the eyes a little. Sorry my pictures weren't good enough Tom. If there's a next time I'll try and do better.

OK I am going out on a limb here and I am making a proposal.......Can we put some kind of moratorium on talking on items that are from the "Pending Issue" of Rodbuilder? us in the outter reaches of the Greater United States of America still havn't received our issue of the publication. I will be spending the next week combining GOBS of thread, oragami, Pyramid beer, and the pyramids off Camel ciggarettes, trying to figure out what a "Pyramid Wrap" is.............There goes new Years............Thanks.............LOL

I second Kirk's request.... Takes the Pony Express a long time to make it to the North Pole!
