Hi Guys,
I just got back from a fishing trip, and my rods really took a beating..........the primary "damage" was to the eva grips, especially were things had been pressed against the eva and it has been pressed in...... Does any body have any ideas how I can get the eva to its original state.....ie making the pressed in parts "pop out" again Thanks.... Farid Re: EVA indent

If they are going to be getting ripped up every time you go out Take the eva of - butt handle - and replace it with a smooth butt [www.mudhole.com]
You can put it on from the butt of the rod ---- And shape the eva down to be the arbor for the new butt Or try heat or steam to get it back here is more info on dents [rodbuilding.org] Bill - willierods.com Edited 2 time(s). Last edit at 12/23/2011 11:45AM by bill boettcher. Re: EVA indent

Steam it and with gloves on manipulate that area by hand. It should spring back up. Re: EVA indent

Farid,
Put it in a vertical rod holder, leave it alone for a week or two and the handle will likely be just fine. Good luck Roger Re: EVA indent

Farid,
The good news with dents in an EVA handle is that it neans that the rod is being used. That is what is important with a fishing rod. Use. The handle and other things will take care of themselves. Catch a bunch and move on. Roger Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
