Scott,

The RX 8+ blanks are black, but not glossy. They are unadulterated graphite...a really attractive blank. I was recently told by one of the sponsers of this site that the RX 8+ is built in America by St. Croix for Batson Enterprises.

I have built a lot of rods using the Rainshadow blanks and I have never been disappointed with them. My customers love them.

I recently received a blank dropped shipped directly from Batson, which had a couple of large scratches on the finish. I contacted John in Batson's warranty department and he responded immediately. They had FedEx come by and pick-up for the damaged blank and shipped me a replacement blank, via FedEx; which I received in three days. You can not ask for better service than I received!

Try a Ranshadow blank, you will not be disappointed.

i wish they still made the 7+, and 8+ in the fly blanks. Those were some darn good blanks for the money.
