Hi all,

First off any opinions on the blank? Looks like a great blank at a great price. Also how about a supplier?

Thanks!

The Batson Blanks are great, I've built some on RX8 and RX7 popping blanks and they are excellent. Good finish and well made. Price to quality can't be beat. I've got them from Getbit outdoors and from one of the other sponsors here (and my mind is slipping I can't remember who it was but they are in minnesota). Both were excellent to deal with.

All I build on is Batson RX8 blanks from Get Bit. The blanks are just awesome and have a great finish on them. Classy looks and great actions. Order some and you will be pleased.

Scott,

Sounds like some good advice above. The Rainshadow line has been very good to me. The M and MC are likely the same finish, a matte clear coat. It gives the blank a flat charcoal gray look, where you don't see the graphite fibers as well as you do with a gloss finish.

If you are looking for a beautiful Black blank, check out the Castaway XP3. It is a very black, Flat Black blank. Excellent quality at a great price.
Give Lance a call at Swampland. Great service and fast shipping too.

I've been pleased with my 10wt RX7 IF9010 rod. It was much straighter than I had any reason to expect (ie, totally straight), and the color was the typical matte graphite.

I have made several orders of Batson RX6 and RX7 blanks through Utmost Enterprises. They offer 25% discount off all Batson blanks, which is excellent. I have found their service and advice to be excellent too.

I built a 10wt forecast and for the money you cant beat it! Batson sells great blanks. There are better blanks out there than the forecast line but NOT at that price
