What a great gathering.Between Steve Cox and his beautiful creations, Sam Fox and his wisdom, Gary Land and his @#$%&, and finally Pauls handmade tools, it was a perfect day. It was especially great to have MidWest Rod and Reel there. I know they took some money from me. It was also special to have some fine companies donate materials and components such as Batson, RodMaker Magazine, Mud Hole Tackle, Bingham Enterprises and Jann's Netcraft. I was about one of the first names drawn and I got a MHX Blank and kit. I look forward to building on this as this is my first MHX blank. The absolute best is to be able to see fellow rodbuilders face to face and share methods and ideas. Thank you Chuck for hosting.

It was a fun and informative gathering. Was very nice to see some new faces too. Scott's presentaation on trim wraps with a nice highlight demo of a 'nailknot' thin metalic wrap was slick. The fine array of rod building raffle gifts were greatly appreciated. Companies donating and supporting 'grass-roots' get togethers like ours are truly appreciated. Big Thanks to: Mid West Rod & Reel ( Bill even drove down over 4 hrs to be here), Mud Hole, Bingham, Jann's Netcraft, Batson, Rod Maker Magazine. Hope I didn't forget anyone. Chuck Ungs super chili and an Iowa win over Mich. simply added to the outstanding day. Thanks all
