I am thinking of using a Fuji ACS Trigger Reel Seat on a split grip crankbait rod.
Never used an exposed blank-through seat. This one says it has an arborless design. How you determine the size to use since the blanks are tapered? Thanks for any advice. I am planning on using a Mudhole CB843....... Re: FUJI ACS trigger seat

You'll need to know how far up the blank you want to put the reel seat. Then you can either call/e-mail Mudhole and ask them to measure it at this location. Mudhole has also taken the time to measure each blank in 2' increments from the butt and have listed them on their site as a pdf file.

I have the dimensions from their site. My question is for example if the reel seat is 4" long and I want it placed at the 10" mark it cover s 10.96mm at 12"- 10.7mm and 10.36mm at 14" mark.
How do I choose what size seat I need to I choose by the largest # or smallest? Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 11/01/2011 09:46PM by Chris McDaniel. Re: FUJI ACS trigger seat

You can ream them out to get a larger size if needed. You can only gain a little though. Like one or two sizes. I think you should get a 10.5 or an 11. The 10.5 will ream to an 11. Those seats are great. Re: FUJI ACS trigger seat

take the blank diameter on the blank where the rear of the seat would be. they are easy to ream, so err to the small side. Regards, -Justin Re: FUJI ACS trigger seat

For a truly great fit, I always purchase the size I believe will be the best (after laying out all the components) and then purchase the next size up and the next size down -- you can't ever have enough reel seats and these seats are not that expensive. Re: FUJI ACS trigger seat
