Hello all,
Hoping some of you experienced bass rod guys out there can help me with a blank recommendation please. I have a friend who currently has an All Star, P907 FS, likes it a lot and wants another one similar to it built, but with "just a bit more tip", meaning just slightly less stiff as the All Star. Specs on the All Star F907 FS are: - 7ft, 6in - Fast - Heavy - 12-30 lb line wt. - 3/8 to 1-1/2 oz. lure wt. In researching I've seen the Batson IMB 944, IFS 904 and IFS 906 are all pretty close to these specs. But I'm not familiar enough with any of these blanks to know which, if any of these would be similar to the All Star but with "a little more tip". Hoping someone out there might be familiar with these blanks to point me in the right direction. I am open to other manufacturers besides Batson, but need the retail blank cost to be $100 or less. Suggestions are very much appreciated! Thanks, Jeff. Re: Blank Recommendation

Give Kevin over at Get Bit a call. I had him flexing every rod in the shop for me one day and ended up getting exactly what I wanted. Re: Blank Recommendation

That sounds like a flippin'/pitchin' stick.
I replaced a friend of mine's flipping rod recently with the MHX FS905T and he's been happy with it. I don't remember the exact specs on the production rod but I'll see if I can get & post them for you to compare. Re: Blank Recommendation

I recently completed a MHX CB905. It's a crank bait rod but I have found it to be a great flipping stick as well with less than 1oz lures. it has a bit softer tip if thats what you want. I built it for large crankbaits and it performs very will in that regard. 65 bucks at muddle. Re: Blank Recommendation
