In that case, you'll have to go on wondering or relying upon someone else's experience/opinion.

I think these are something I'm going to give a try as soon as I can. I like people who think outside the box and who knows this might be the new thing!! Besides the company is local to me!!

At 20 bucks its about the same price as a good quality guide. Worth a shot. I`ll road test one or two. If they dont perform to expectation no worries just wrap an old style ring guide on there and go .Bill if you are getting your brakes done for $20 I need to make sure you are not behind me,ever!

IMO, it doesn't look very "outside the box". It seems to be a variant of the Microwave guide.

According to Tru-Flo, their guide is patented and has been in use for 10 yrs. I believe the Microwave guide came on the seen only a couple of years ago. So, I wonder where the Microwave idea really came from. In my viewpoint, the Tru-Flo is definitely thinking "outside the box." As I said in a different thread, this guide really works.

I would not mind giving these and the microwaves a go on my surf rods, got 3 identical 12' rods and reels but the strippers are a braced size 50 guide. Not sure if the Tru-Flo or microwave is big enough for that. Would be cool to see how they act on an 80 to 100 yard cast though.

Either way, welcome aboard! Sponsors keep us rolling. :)

Bill,
You might try a lessor expensive hobby.

If you can or will not try something new, that`s fine! It is all up to you.

Why make a post about something like this?

Stop your whining.

As I said earlier, Welcome Aboard Tru-Flo! Hope this thread doesn't make you want to quit. Most of the time it's a great place with lots of great builders and information. It is by far the best one on the net. Sometimes there's a little banter but just ignore it. There's more good than bad and most of us are really glad to have you.
