New MHX Blank

Hello everyone,

Well just finished building my first MHX Rod..
this is what I have..

Blank MHX SWB967-Blend 8' swim bait 15-30 lb.
Pac Bay Guides
Tip GPHT 10-7.5
4 GTHG-8
3 GTHG-10
1 GTHG-12
1 GTHG-16
Casting handle 21 3/8" long
Madeira Thread colors
1658 Brown
1725 Gold
1726 Light Brown
1735 Yellow

I put a Diamod wrap above the foregrip (pics uploaded)
Now for the good stuff, as everyone knows its Bull Red season here
in Texas. So I built this rod to see how well the MHX blanks will hold up to some
big fish, catching them on surf rods (no challenge anymore). So I figured
I would try a trout rod and see what happens. I hear the MHX blanks are great.
So I am going to give one a try and see if it can handle the big ones.. What do you think?

Great blank and product. Have seen that blank very powerful. Have built the one under 956 spiral wrap and very happy. Stopped 30lb striper not a problem. Great product for the $.

Well here is the update on the MHX rod.
went to surfside jetties to do some red fishing.
Needless to say no reds, but I rig up my new rod with
a 3/4 ounce gold castmaster and threw it about 100yrds.
The BAM a mac hit this fish didn't stand a chance. Love
this new rod. Well I am building another MHX blank now,
I call it my blue candy wrap (uploaded a pic) check it out
and tell me what you think.
