Does anyone know of or have heard of any light to med duty freshwater blanks for open water that are are solid graphite/carbon? I have seen pics and read about a few from overseas on the net, and thought they looked neat. Might like to try one just to have something different.
Thanks Re: Solid Blanks? (Not hollow)

Batson carries many blanks that are made of solid material.
Just look up the blanks in their catalog. They are very useful for many types of fishing that require a next to indestructible rod and where weight is not important for the type fishing being done. Roger Re: Solid Blanks? (Not hollow)

Roger,
Thanks for the response, but I've been searching around the sponsors sites and ran across the Tough Stick series as well as the solid glass rods from Batson. Is there something I missed from them? John, I ran across those also. Do you know if you can get just the blanks? Has anyone used them? I've found quite a few solid glass saltwater rods for various techniques, but no solid graphite for lighter line weights(6-10, 8-12, 10-17, etc). I have built a lot of Ice rods on solid carbon/graphite blanks that are very light and responsive. Didn't know if anything was available that was similar for open water use. Something similar to a spin jig 782 only solid. Re: Solid Blanks? (Not hollow)
