Some people like using it I choose not to so the finish soaks into the thread and incases the guide foot. CP stops the finish from making a good connectiont to the blank.
Do a test on a peice of scrap using and not using it then remove the thread and guides. See for yourself wich way you want to go. Re: NCP & CP
