old rod blanks

I recently bought 30 blanks from a shop that was closing. Some Seeker, some Lamiglas, some St. Croix, some Ugly Sticks. I have a couple that are Star rods, #KC5086 in white. Does anybody know the specs on this? Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks.

Pretty sure it is a gator glass blank. Should be about 50# class IIRC. Rugged bottom rod.

Bill,
When you get a group of blanks like this, the best this is to measure the butt, the tip and take the ccs measurements and disregard any thing that is on the label.

Then, you will know exactly what is going on with each blank. It only takes a couple of minutes for each blank. Measure, and make a lable for each blank and you will be good to go.

Take care
Roger

Roger,
For some reason I thought you could not use CCS on larger blanks. When I walked into this shop it was like I went back in time. He had stuff from the '40's and '50's, so I am thinking these are older models. I'll have to read up on CCS as I have never done this before.
Thanks for the info.

The CCS does not measure rod blanks - it measures action, power and speed. You can use it on any blank that possesses these inherent properties.
