I build mine with the thought of - the shortest distance between two points is a straight line

To say i put the top and some running guides on real run line out the tip and let the line tell me where the guides should be -- To A Degree -

Then put pressure on the rod and see where the line goes IN the guides With pressure on I like the line to stay at the bottom of the guides close to the blank

Then test cast - change guides too see if it makes any difference

It may be a pain but that is what is called -- A Custom Built Rod

What size and style guides would you use to make the transition to micros on the bottom? What micros do you use on your builds and why? I haven't seen all the brands so I'm not realy sure what makes one better then the other if they both have the same ring.
