Seeker bucktailing rod

Hey everyone, I have a friend who wants me to build him a bucktailing spinning rod for 8-12 oz bucktails. This rod will be used for bouncing bucktails out in the deep wrecks off NJ for Doormat Fluke. I picked up a Seeker Inshore Heavy 7 which is 7'2"; 30-60lb ; 5-16oz ,8.5 Tip; 0.695 Butt; Medium Action; Heavy Power. I am going to assume he is going to use a 5000 - 7000 spinning reel. I would like to know what would be a good start when choosing guide type, guide sizing and their placement. Thanks!

That's way too much rod, and nobody use 12oz BT's.most peopl euse conventionals for Fluking, especailly the heavy weights. For Ocean Fluke the Inshore Lite is all you need. Now I hae several friends who use up to 8oz jigs around structure for Fluke, and they use the SD-36, and Hercules Super tog cut to handle hte weight they need to use.

I use (& stock) Alconites, MNSG's, Virtus Lite Titaniums, which is wha tI pu ton both teh Lite & HEavy & Super Tog blanks

I understand that this blank is too heavy. My friends father wants me to build it for him, I tried talking him into something different but this is the blank he wants. Can someone please help me with guide sizing and a starting point for spacing?

What is the Super Tog blank? I do a lot of black fishing and I am quite interested in hearing about it.

Billy, I will shoot you an email. I would like to do business with you, and finally get that book :)
