Can someone recommend a tutorial on how to do a simple embedded spiral wrap? I used a search, but couldn't come up with any.

Can you elaborate on what an "embedded spiral wrap" is?

Do you mean a thread inlay with several bands to make it a spiral?

If so, try this... [www.rodbuilding.org]

Kurt's tutorial is what I'm looking to try. I guess to you guys this is very simple, but it's my first attempt. It doesn't look too complicated. I'm going to practice a bit and then give it a try.
Thanks all for helping me.

Oh, yes. Absolutely correct. Not my tutorial. Just finishing off a rod on which I attempt the same thing so it was fresh in my mind where I had seen it. Its pretty easy and straight forward.

Nice Barry. I did a few tonight myself and they didn't come out too bad. It made me feel like a "big shot pro" rod builder. HA! HA!
